Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator / Programmer to operate and program Vertical Machining Centers for precision component manufacturing. The candidate should have knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operation, programming, tooling, setting, and inspection.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate VMC machines safely and efficiently.
- Prepare and set up machines according to production drawings and job requirements.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, GD&T;, and machining specifications.
- Create, edit, and modify CNC/VMC programs using G-code and M-code.
- Develop and optimize machining programs for production and prototype components.
- Perform tool selection, tool offset setting, workpiece setting, and tool wear adjustments.
- Set work coordinates and machine parameters accurately.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining conditions.
- Inspect finished components using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, program, and machine-related problems.
- Reduce cycle time and improve machining efficiency where possible.
- Maintain machine, tools, fixtures, and workplace cleanliness.
- Follow safety procedures and quality standards.
- Maintain production records, tool-life records, and inspection reports.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of VMC machine operation and setting.




- Knowledge of CNC programming, including G-code and M-code.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, speeds, and feeds.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC troubleshooting.
- Ability to make program corrections and optimize machining cycles.
- Valuable understanding of 3-axis/4-axis VMC machining is preferred.
- CAD/CAM knowledge such as Mastercam, NX, SolidCAM, PowerMill, or similar software is an advantage.

Qualification & Experience

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant VMC operating/programming experience preferred.
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar CNC controls is an advantage.
