Position: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) - Social Science
Location: School/ Coaching Center (e.g., CBSE/ICSE affiliated in Madurai or similar)
Experience: 2+ years teaching secondary classes (6th-10th grade); B.Ed. or equivalent required
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Civics, Economics) to middle and high school students using engaging methods like maps, timelines, and group discussions.
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with CBSE/NCERT syllabus, including worksheets, projects, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance through tests, homework, and practical activities; provide feedback and remedial support.
- Maintain classroom discipline, encourage participation, and organize educational field trips or events.
- Collaborate with parents and school staff on student progress; update records and reports.
Qualifications:
- Master's/Bachelor's in Social Science or related field + B.Ed./D.El.Ed.
- Solid communication skills in English and regional language (e.g., Tamil).
- Proficiency in digital tools like Google Classroom or PowerPoint for interactive lessons.
Skills Needed:
- Passion for history/geography; ability to simplify complex topics for teens.
