Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced 3D Mechanical Design Engineer to conceptualize, design, and model automated/semi-automated electroplating plant lines. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end mechanical engineering, including tank structural design, 3D equipment assembly, exhaust/ventilation ducting, chemical piping layouts, and preparing manufacturing-ready 2D drawings.

Key Responsibilities

- 3D CAD Modeling: Create complete 3D assembly models (.SLDASM, .STEP) for electroplating tanks, chemical process lines, busbar networks, and structural steel support frames using SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or AutoCAD.
- Plant Layout Design: Develop optimized 2D and 3D factory layout drawings (.DWG), ensuring proper spacing for pre-treatment, plating, post-treatment, rinse tanks, and effluent drainage channels.
- Piping & Exhaust Systems: Design chemical-resistant piping runs (PP, PVC, PVDF) and lateral tank lip extraction ducting systems integrated with wet scrubbers.
- Material Handling & Structures: Design overhead gantry hoists, automated transporter mechanisms, and structural steel platforms with anti-slip fiberglass grating.
- Manufacturing Documentation:



Generate detailed 2D fabrication drawings with exact tolerances, Weldment details, and a complete Bill of Materials (BOM) including raw plastics, metals, pumps, and hardware.
- Vendor & Site Coordination: Collaborate with fabrication teams, electrical engineers (for rectifier and PLC integration), and chemical consultants during project execution.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Machine Design.
- Experience: Minimum [3–5+] years of experience in industrial equipment design, specialized chemical plant layout, surface finishing line, or electroplating line design.
- CAD Software Expertise: High proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX.
- Material Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of chemical-resistant engineering plastics (PP-H, PVDF, PVC, PTFE) and metals (Stainless Steel 316L, Titanium, Carbon Steel).
- Fabrication Understanding: Deep understanding of sheet plastic welding, steel frame fabrication, GD&T;, and assembly practices.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience designing automated transporter hoists, busbar routing (copper/aluminum), or wet scrubber ventilation systems.
- Ability to run structural FEA or flow analysis (CFD) for tank strength and bath agitation dynamics.

Pay: ₹11,376.18 - ₹45,907.95 per month
