Job Description: The Senior GenAI Engineer — Claude & Agentic Systems is a hands-on builder who deploys Claude-powered demos and production solutions using Python, LangChain, RAG, and AWS/Replit. The role owns EXL’s Claude demo library and POC pipeline within the India AI Center of Excellence.

Reporting to the Director, the engineer turns solution designs into working, measurable systems and rapidly prototypes new Claude capabilities for client pursuits. CCA-F (Claude Certified – Foundations) certification is the baseline; MCP and Claude Computer Use familiarity is a strong differentiator

Responsibilities: Responsibilities

- Build and deploy Claude-powered demos, proofs-of-concept, and production solutions using Python, LangChain, and RAG patterns.
- Own and continuously expand EXL’s Claude demo library and POC pipeline, ensuring reusable, well-documented components.
- Implement agentic workflows with tool-calling/function-calling and, where relevant, MCP-based integrations.
- Develop production services and APIs, and deploy on AWS (and Replit for rapid prototyping), with attention to reliability, cost, and latency.
- Apply guardrails and evaluation strategies to ensure output quality, safety, and policy compliance.
- Collaborate with the Claude Solutions Architect and delivery teams to convert designs into working systems.
- Maintain technical documentation and reusable assets to accelerate future delivery.





Must-Have Skills

- 5–7 years of engineering experience, with hands-on GenAI/LLM delivery.

Claude & Agentic Engineering

- Solid hands-on experience building Claude-powered solutions, including RAG pipelines and agentic workflows.
- Proficiency with LangChain (or equivalent orchestration stacks) and prompt engineering.
- Experience with vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval evaluation.
- CCA-F (Claude Certified – Foundations) certification as a baseline (held or achievable on joining).

Core Engineering

- Strong Python engineering skills (production-grade coding, testing, packaging, API development).
- Hands-on experience deploying on AWS; familiarity with Replit for rapid prototyping.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with architects and delivery teams.

Good-to-Have / Preferred

- Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations.
- Exposure to Claude Computer Use and emerging agentic-coding workflows.
- Experience contributing demo libraries, accelerators, or reusable POC assets to a CoE.
- Domain exposure to BFSI, healthcare, or insurance use cases.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
