Job Description – Procurement Executive

Position: Procurement Executive
Location: Chennai – Guindy / Thirumudivakkam
Employment Type: Permanent
Reporting To: Operations Lead

Key Responsibilities

- Source and develop suppliers for machining, fabrication, castings, pneumatics, electrical & electronic items, MRO, consumables, and standard catalogue parts.
- Handle the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, including RFQ, quotation comparison, negotiation, PO, delivery follow-up, and payment follow-up.
- Interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T;, and support optimized manufacturing process planning.
- Perform cost estimation and should costing for part development.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and work towards achieving zero defects.
- Drive supplier development, supplier performance monitoring, and supplier audits.
- Handle CAPA closure, root cause analysis, and QC tools for supplier-related issues.
- Support PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, inspection methods, gauge and fixture concepts.
- Ensure OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery and support multiple project executions.
- Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct supplier assessment,



evaluation, and performance monitoring.
- Work closely with suppliers and support technical sourcing activities.

Candidate Requirements

- Qualification: Diploma (DME) / B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical or related discipline.
- Experience: Manufacturing / industrial sourcing experience.
- Willingness to travel and work closely with suppliers.
- Positive knowledge of Excel and analytical tools.
- Knowledge of QC tools, PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, and part approval processes.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Good attention to detail, time management, and prioritization.
- Proactive and capable of handling initiatives independently.
- Leadership and project execution skills.

Preferred Background

Candidates with procurement experience in manufacturing / engineering industries, particularly in machining, fabrication, casting, pneumatics, and technical sourcing, are preferred.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
