Job Summary

We are looking for skilled Marine Fabricators to join our shipbuilding and ship repair team. The candidate will be responsible for fabrication, fitting, assembly, alignment, and repair of marine structural components as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret shipbuilding drawings, fabrication drawings, sketches, and welding symbols.
- Mark, measure, cut, bevel, shape, and prepare steel plates, angles, channels, beams, and other structural materials.
- Fabricate and assemble hull structures, decks, bulkheads, frames, foundations, brackets, stiffeners, and other marine structures.
- Carry out accurate fit-up, alignment, tack welding, and structural assembly before final welding.
- Perform gas cutting, grinding, drilling, bending, and other fabrication activities using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Check dimensions, levels, angles, and alignment using measuring instruments.
- Work closely with welders, fitters, supervisors, and QC inspectors to ensure smooth production.
- Assist in ship repair, modification, and replacement of damaged structural components.
- Ensure fabricated structures meet required dimensional and quality standards.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow all HSE, PPE, and shipyard safety requirements.
- Report material shortages, fabrication issues, and technical problems to the supervisor.
- Complete assigned work within the required production schedule.





Educational Qualification

- ITI – Fitter / Welder / Sheet Metal / Marine-related trade preferred.
- Diploma in Mechanical/Fabrication Engineering will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with relevant structural fabrication experience may also be considered.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, marine fabrication, offshore, or structural steel fabrication preferred.
- Candidates with strong structural fabrication experience from heavy engineering/construction industries may also apply.
- Freshers with relevant ITI qualification and good practical skills can also be considered.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of marine/structural fabrication.
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings.
- Valuable knowledge of cutting, grinding, fit-up, alignment, and assembly.
- Ability to use measuring tools and fabrication equipment.
- Basic knowledge of welding and welding preparation.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in shipyard conditions where required.
- Good teamwork, discipline, and commitment to safety.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
