The VP - Business & Trading will lead the end-to-end commercial function of the copper scrap manufacturing business, including sales, marketing, procurement, trading, inventory planning, and regulatory compliance. The role is responsible for driving profitability, managing market risk, and ensuring smooth coordination between trading, plant operations, and compliance.

Business Development & Sales

- Lead sales of copper scrap, copper wire rods, and related products.
- Develop domestic and export business opportunities.
- Manage key customer relationships and commercial negotiations

Trading & Market Operations

- Oversee trading activities and back-to-back transactions.
- Monitor LME prices, market trends, and margin movement.
- Align trading volumes with production capacity

Procurement & Purchase

- Head sourcing of copper scrap from domestic and international suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, quality specifications, and delivery terms
- Ensure uninterrupted raw material supply for plant operations

Inventory Planning & Coordination

- Plan procurement in line with sales forecasts and production schedules




- Monitor inventory levels, ageing, and working capital impact
- Coordinate with plant, logistics, and finance teams

Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure compliance with pollution control norms, scrap regulations, GST, and import-export laws
- Oversee documentation related to sales, purchases, and audits
- Coordinate with consultants and regulatory authorities

Reporting & Leadership

- Prepare MIS on sales, margins, inventory, and compliance
- Act as a key interface between management and internal teams
- Support strategic decision-making

Key Competency:

- Experience in copper scrap / non-ferrous metals / trading.
- Strong exposure to sales, procurement, and market operations.
- Sound understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Robust leadership, negotiation, and commercial acumen

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in commerce or related field.
- Minimum 10-15 years of Experience.
