Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced VMC Programmer responsible for developing, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs for Vertical Machining Centers. The candidate should have strong knowledge of machining processes, CNC programming, tooling, engineering drawings, GD&T;, and shop-floor problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, modify, and optimize VMC CNC programs based on engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Generate and edit programs using G-code and M-code.
- Develop CNC programs using CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, NX, PowerMill, or equivalent.
- Read and interpret 2D drawings, 3D models, GD&T;, and technical specifications.
- Plan machining sequences for milling, drilling, tapping, boring, pocketing, profiling, and other VMC operations.
- Select suitable cutting tools, inserts, holders, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Perform machine setting, tool offset setting, work offset setting, and program prove-out.
- Conduct simulation, dry runs, and first-piece validation before production.
- Troubleshoot machining, programming, tooling, and dimensional issues on the shop floor.
- Optimize cycle time, tool life, machining parameters, and productivity without compromising quality.
- Support operators during machine setup and production.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tooling, and Design/Engineering teams for process improvements.
- Maintain CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling details, and process documentation.




- Ensure compliance with 5S, safety, quality, and production standards.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of VMC machining and CNC programming.
- Good knowledge of G-code / M-code and manual program editing.
- Experience with Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controllers.
- Working knowledge of CAM programming.
- Valuable understanding of cutting tools and machining parameters.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T;.
- Knowledge of precision machining and dimensional inspection.
- Experience in reducing machining cycle time and improving tool life.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in automotive, aerospace, precision engineering, die & mould, or engineering components.
- Experience with 3-axis / 4-axis VMC; 5-axis experience will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience in both programming and machine setting.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, Siemens NX, or PowerMill.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
