About the role

Seota Digital Marketing is a US-based web development and digital marketing agency. We are expanding into managed OTT and live streaming operations for broadcast clients, starting with a 24/7 linear television network and its associated radio properties.

We are hiring an OTT / Live Streaming Engineer to own the video and audio delivery layer end to end: cloud encoding infrastructure, CDN delivery, distribution to connected TV platforms, and the monitoring that keeps a 24/7 signal on the air.

This is a hands-on engineering role, not a coordination role. You will be the technical owner of the streaming environment.

Schedule: Fully remote from India. Must overlap at least 4 hours daily with US Central Time. Participation in an on-call rotation is required.

What you will do

Design, build and operate live linear streaming infrastructure on AWS (Elemental MediaLive, MediaPackage, CloudFront) or comparable commercial OTT platforms.

Configure and troubleshoot hardware encoders (AJA HELO, Elemental, Haivision or similar) and RTMP / SRT ingest paths.

Manage HLS packaging, adaptive bitrate ladders, transcoding profiles and CDN configuration.

Plan and execute platform migrations without service interruption, including parallel-run cutovers across many endpoints.

Maintain distribution to connected TV and streaming platforms: Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Samsung, LG, YouTube Live, and audio aggregators.

Build and run monitoring and alerting for stream health, including manifest freshness, segment continuity and playback validation.

Act as first responder for stream outages, diagnose root cause across encoder, origin, CDN and endpoint layers, and escalate to platform vendors when needed.

Manage audio streaming for radio properties (Icecast / ShoutCast, Telos encoders, metadata passthrough).

Handle app store maintenance cycles: SDK updates, certificate renewals, platform compliance and submissions.

Document architecture,



runbooks and escalation procedures.

Report on uptime, delivery volume and viewership to client stakeholders.

Required experience

5+ years in live video streaming, broadcast engineering or OTT platform operations.

Direct experience running 24/7 linear channels, not only VOD or one-off event streaming.

Hands-on with AWS Elemental MediaLive and MediaPackage, or a commercial OTT platform (Brightcove, JW Player, Mux, Wowza, Piksel, Amagi).

Strong working knowledge of HLS, DASH, RTMP, SRT, H.264 encoding and adaptive bitrate delivery.

CDN configuration and troubleshooting at scale (Akamai, CloudFront, Fastly).

FFmpeg proficiency for transcoding, analysis and debugging.

Experience with hardware encoder configuration and remote troubleshooting.

Comfortable owning incident response on a system where downtime is immediately visible to the public.

Clear written English and the confidence to communicate directly with US clients.

Strongly preferred

Has personally executed a streaming platform migration without taking the channel dark.

Connected TV app development or maintenance: Roku BrightScript, tvOS, Android TV, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS.

Experience submitting apps through Roku, Apple, Google Play, Amazon or Samsung certification.

Radio or audio streaming background (Icecast, ShoutCast, Triton Digital, Telos).

Broadcast facility experience, including SDI signal flow and master control workflows.

AWS certification.

Scripting for automation and monitoring (Python, Bash, Node).
