Key Accountabilities & Activities:

1. Microbiological Testing

- Conduct microbiological testing of incoming raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and packaging materials to ensure microbiological safety and quality.
- Perform microbiological analysis of water, air, process environment, pipelines, equipment, utilities, and personnel hygiene samples.
- Identify and report microbial contamination, investigate deviations, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

2. Chemical & Physico-Chemical Analysis (QA Chemist Responsibilities)

- Perform routine chemical and physico-chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and utilities as per approved specifications.
- Analyze parameters such as Fat, SNF, Moisture, Acidity, pH, Salt, Protein, Ash, Total Solids, Brix, Viscosity, Density, and other quality parameters as applicable.
- Verify the quality of ingredients, additives, packaging materials, and cleaning chemicals before use.
- Ensure compliance of products with BIS, FSSAI, customer specifications, and internal quality standards.
- Monitor process quality parameters and immediately report any deviations to Production and QA management.

3. Laboratory Preparation & Materials

- Prepare microbiological media, cultures, reagents, standard solutions, chemicals, and test samples.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, labeling, and disposal of laboratory chemicals and microbiological materials.
- Raise material requisitions and issue laboratory consumables from stores as required.

4. Quality Assurance & Product Release

- Perform quality clearance of in-process and finished products based on microbiological and chemical test results.
- Recommend product release, rejection, hold, or rework based on analytical findings.




- Determine the release or hold status of process equipment after microbiological verification and cleaning validation.
- Support investigation of customer complaints, non-conformities, and product quality issues.

5. Laboratory Equipment & Calibration

- Operate, maintain, verify, and calibrate laboratory instruments including pH meter, moisture analyzer, incubator, autoclave, colony counter, weighing balance, spectrophotometer, Gerber equipment, and other testing instruments.
- Ensure calibration schedules are followed and maintain calibration records.
- Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate preventive maintenance.

6. Compliance & Food Safety

- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, GLP, GHP, and other applicable food safety standards.
- Implement and monitor HACCP Critical Control Points (CCPs) and Operational Prerequisite Programs (OPRPs).
- Participate in internal, external, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Maintain laboratory practices in accordance with quality management system requirements.

7. Documentation & Records

- Maintain laboratory test reports, analytical records, calibration records, media preparation logs, chemical inventory, equipment logs, and quality documents.
- Ensure all laboratory documentation is accurate, complete, and updated in accordance with SOPs.
- Maintain traceability records for all tested samples.

8. Hygiene, Sanitation & Environmental Monitoring

- Verify cleaning and sanitation effectiveness of process equipment, pipelines, tanks, fillers, machines,



and production areas.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and hygiene verification programs.
- Coordinate pest control activities and monitor corrective actions.
- Ensure laboratory housekeeping and adherence to safety practices.

9. Process Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

- Monitor production quality parameters and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Support implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM), Kaizen, 5S, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for quality deviations and recommend preventive measures.

10. Coordination & Communication

- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Engineering, Warehouse, and Maintenance departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Coordinate employee medical examinations and hygiene monitoring as required.
- Complete assigned work within specified timelines and support departmental objectives.
- Assist during customer visits, quality inspections, and regulatory audits.

11. Inventory & Laboratory Management

- Maintain inventory of laboratory chemicals, reagents, microbiological media, glassware, reference standards, and consumables.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate timely purchase requisitions to avoid shortages.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for laboratory chemicals and microbiological cultures.

12. Safety & Regulatory Compliance

- Follow laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines.
- Ensure safe disposal of laboratory waste, microbiological cultures, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
- Comply with all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and statutory regulations.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹500,000.00 per month
