Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Laptop Service Engineer to join our technical support team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of laptop brands and models. You will handle hardware chip-level/board-level troubleshooting, software installation, and preventive maintenance to ensure high device performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Hardware Repair & Replacement: Diagnose and repair hardware issues, including screen replacements, keyboard repairs, motherboard fixes, battery replacements, thermal pasting, and port repairs.
- Chip-Level Troubleshooting: Perform component-level/chip-level repairs on motherboards using soldering tools, multimeter, and diagnostic cards.
- Software & OS Maintenance: Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), drivers, antivirus, and standard software applications.
- Data Recovery & Backup: Perform secure data backup, OS migration, data recovery from corrupted drives, and drive formatting/partitioning.
- Quality Assurance & Testing:



Conduct thorough post-repair testing and burn-in tests to ensure full functionality before handing devices back to clients.
- Documentation & Customer Communication: Maintain accurate repair logs, estimate repair costs/timelines, and clearly explain technical issues to non-technical customers.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: High school diploma, ITI/Diploma in Electronics/Hardware & Networking, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 1–3+ years of hands-on experience in laptop servicing, desktop repair, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Technical Certifications: CompTIA A+, Hardware & Networking diploma, or vendor-specific certifications (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Apple) are a major plus.
- Core Skills:
- Proficiency in chip-level soldering and micro-soldering (BGA, SMD).
- In-depth knowledge of hardware architecture (RAM, SSD/HDD, Processors, GPUs, Power ICs).
- Familiarity with hardware diagnostic software and repair tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, time management, and effective customer service abilities.
