Job Description – Diamond Assorter

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Diamond Assorter responsible for sorting, grading, matching, and maintaining diamonds according to size, shape, quality, colour, clarity, and other specified parameters. The candidate should have solid attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with diamonds and maintain proper records.

Key Responsibilities

- Sort and assort diamonds according to size, shape, colour, clarity, cut, and quality as per production requirements.
- Match diamonds accurately for jewellery pieces, pairs, sets, and specific orders.
- Check diamonds for consistency in colour, clarity, size, and overall appearance.
- Identify and separate diamonds that do not meet the required specifications.
- Handle diamonds carefully to minimize loss, damage, or mixing of different lots.
- Verify diamond quantities against job sheets, orders, and production requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of diamonds received, issued, sorted, and returned.
- Prepare and organize diamond parcels according to specific jewellery designs or production requirements.
- Coordinate with CAD, production, setting, QC, and other relevant teams regarding diamond requirements.
- Ensure proper identification, labelling,



and segregation of different diamond lots.
- Assist in stock verification and physical diamond inventory checks when required.
- Follow company procedures for diamond handling, security, documentation, and accountability.
- Report discrepancies in quantity, quality, or specifications to the concerned supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure all assigned work is completed accurately within the required timelines.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of diamonds, shapes, sizes, colour, clarity, and grading parameters.
- Strong attention to detail and visual observation.
- Good numerical and counting skills.
- Ability to match and sort diamonds accurately.
- Basic knowledge of jewellery manufacturing and diamond requirements is preferred.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
- Knowledge of Excel or basic computer operations is an advantage.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in diamond assorting, diamond sorting, jewellery manufacturing, or a related role is preferred. Freshers with relevant diamond/jewellery education may also be considered based on their skills.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
