Opportunity for the Position of Assistant Manager – Production (Saddle Bracket)

Designation (Role): Assistant Manager – Production
Department (Functional Area): Production
Reporting To: HOD / Plant Head
Company/Working Location: Moraiya, Ahmedabad (Gujarat)
Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹55,000 per month (depending on experience)
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience: 5+ Years

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day production activities for Saddle Bracket manufacturing as per production plans and customer requirements.
- Plan and allocate manpower, machines, tools and resources to achieve daily and monthly production targets.
- Monitor production processes to ensure required quality, productivity and delivery targets are achieved.
- Handle production activities related to press shop, fabrication, assembly and other relevant manufacturing processes.
- Ensure production is carried out as per engineering drawings, specifications and approved work instructions.
- Monitor machine utilization, cycle time, rejection, rework and overall production efficiency.




- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Tool Room and Stores departments for smooth production flow.
- Ensure proper machine setup, tooling availability and process parameters for continuous production.
- Monitor first-piece inspection and ensure corrective action for dimensional or quality issues.
- Drive reduction of rejection, rework, material wastage and production losses.
- Implement process improvements, Kaizen, 5S and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper maintenance of production records, reports, process sheets and other documentation.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, PPE requirements and company procedures on the shop floor.
- Guide, train and monitor operators, supervisors and production team members.
- Prepare and review daily production reports, rejection reports, downtime reports and productivity reports.
- Ensure achievement of production targets while maintaining quality and cost effectiveness.

Key Skills Required:

- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
- Hands-on experience in production management, preferably in sheet metal / bracket / press shop manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of production planning, manpower handling and shop-floor management.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Knowledge of machine setup, tooling and basic process troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of quality standards and inspection methods.
- Knowledge of Production KPI, rejection, productivity, OEE and cycle time.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good coordination and team management skills.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve production targets.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
