Responsible for ensuring the quality of lighter components and finished products through inspection, testing, process control, and implementation of quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials, components, in-process and finished lighters.
- Monitor assembly processes and identify quality defects.
- Conduct functional, visual and safety-related quality checks.
- Maintain inspection reports, rejection records and quality documentation.
- Identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Production and Purchase teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with defined SOPs, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Monitor rejection, rework and defect rates and prepare quality MIS.
- Support continuous improvement and process quality initiatives.
Requirements
- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Quality or related field.
- 1–3 years of QA/QC experience in manufacturing/assembly.
- Experience in lighter, small-component, plastic, metal or consumer-product assembly will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of inspection methods, quality tools and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
