Position: Junior Safety Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and proactive Junior Safety Officer to support the implementation of workplace safety procedures, monitor compliance, identify hazards, and promote a safe working environment across factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular safety inspections of the factory, machinery, work areas, and PPE compliance.
- Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and report them to the concerned department.
- Ensure employees follow safety rules, SOPs, and company safety procedures.
- Monitor proper use of PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, gloves, goggles, and safety harnesses.
- Support toolbox talks, safety awareness programs, and employee training.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining safety records, inspection reports, and checklists.
- Report and assist in investigating incidents, accidents, and near-miss cases.
- Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor housekeeping, fire safety, emergency exits, and safe material handling practices.
- Assist in conducting emergency drills, fire drills, and evacuation exercises.




- Ensure contractors and workers follow required safety procedures.
- Coordinate with supervisors and the HR/Safety team on safety-related matters.
- Support compliance with applicable Factories Act, Tamil Nadu Factory Rules, and EHS requirements.

Qualification

- Diploma / Degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
- Additional safety certification will be an advantage.

Skills Required

- Good communication and observation skills.
- Basic knowledge of industrial safety practices.
- Ability to identify workplace hazards and suggest corrective actions.
- Basic knowledge of fire safety, PPE, first aid, and emergency procedures.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing/factory workplace.

Preferred

- Candidates with experience in steel, manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industrial operations will be preferred.
- Freshers with relevant safety qualifications may also apply.

Salary : As per company standards. Preference : Immediate Joiners Preferred.

Pay: ₹12,127.41 - ₹20,383.35 per month
