JOB PURPOSE : The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading shift operations to ensure all manufacturing targets are met safely and efficiently. This role focuses on maximizing machine uptime, developing a multi-skilled workforce, and maintaining a high standard of quality and workplace organization.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Delivery & Resource Efficiency:

Execute daily manufacturing schedules to ensure all output targets are achieved without delay.

- Monitor equipment performance to maximize utilization and minimize idle time.
- Oversee machine setup and adjustments to ensure everything is ready for immediate processing.
- Identify bottlenecks in the production line and implement real-time solutions to maintain flow.

Quality Control & Process Compliance:

Supervise the production process to ensure every batch meets established technical specifications.

- Actively monitor and reduce rejected materials and necessary rework to ensure first-time-right manufacturing.
- Ensure all batch records and quality documentation are filled out accurately and on time.
- Lead root-cause analysis when quality deviations occur to prevent recurrence.
- Team Leadership & Workforce Development:
- Manage shift manpower, ensuring the right people are assigned to the right tasks based on their abilities.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning by cross-training team members in multiple technical tasks.
- Manage labor costs effectively in relation to the value generated during the shift. Resolve team conflicts and maintain a positive, productive working environment. Safety, Maintenance & Workplace Standards Enforce a "zero-harm" workplace by ensuring all safety protocols are followed and reporting every near-miss incident.



Maintain a clean and organized workspace through the 5S methodology (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
- Ensure all machinery is cleaned and maintained according to the preventive maintenance schedule.
- Prepare for and lead the team through regular surprise workplace audits.
- Reporting & Operational Continuity Ensure all digital entries in systems like SAP and production logs are completed before the shift ends.
- Facilitate a seamless transition between shifts through detailed handover briefings regarding machine status and pending tasks.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure materials and tools are ready for upcoming runs. Process Improvement Actively contributes to projects that reduce waste, save time, or improve overall plant performance.
- Encourage the team to suggest small-scale improvements to their daily workflows.

QUALIFICATION Diploma (Electrical / Mechanical) ,B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry or B.Tech / Diploma in Chemical Engineering.

EXPERIENCE 3 to 4 years of core experience in a chemical plant, specifically within Contract Manufacturing (TPM) or Specialty Chemicals
