Pharmacist – Job Description

Job Title: Pharmacist

Job Summary:
Responsible for dispensing medicines safely and accurately, maintaining pharmacy records, checking prescriptions, managing medicine stock, and providing appropriate information to patients regarding medication use.

Key Responsibilities:

- Dispense medicines according to valid prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and medication details.
- Explain medication dosage, timing, precautions, and storage instructions to patients.
- Maintain accurate records of medicines dispensed.
- Monitor medicine stock, expiry dates, and storage conditions.
- Receive and verify medicines from suppliers.
- Maintain proper inventory and reorder medicines when required.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of medicines as per applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals when necessary.




- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and follow safety and infection-control procedures.
- Handle billing and pharmacy-related documentation when required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws and hospital policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

- D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid pharmacist registration/license as required by local regulations.
- Good knowledge of medicines and their proper use.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer and pharmacy billing software knowledge.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Responsible, skilled, and patient-focused attitude.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
