Chief Accountant – Supermarket Chain

Location: Chingavanam, Kotttayam Employment Type: Full‑time Experience Required: Senior level (7–12 years)

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Statements & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Consolidate accounts for group reporting and ensure timely submission to management.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- In-depth Knowledge in dealing with Statuary governing bodies like Labour Dept ,EPF, ESI , GST and ROC.
- Reconciliations & Controls
- Manage and review all ledger reconciliations (bank, suppliers, intercompany, inventory).
- Ensure accuracy of accounts payable, receivable, and cash management.
- Implement strong internal controls across all branches.
- Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors; ensure audit readiness.




- Ensure compliance with ROC (Registrar of Companies) requirements and other statutory filings.
- Maintain adherence to tax regulations, VAT compliance, and regulatory updates.
- Retail & Inventory Accounting
- Monitor daily sales, cash collections, and POS reconciliations.
- Oversee inventory valuation, shrinkage analysis, and stock audits.
- Support cost control initiatives across stores.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff across branches.
- Streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; M.Com / CA-Inter
- Strong knowledge of financial preparation, reconciliations, audit processes, and ROC compliance.
- Experience in group reporting and consolidation.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or FMCG.
- Proficiency in Retail ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
