Key Responsibilities

- Job Costing & Analysis: Track daily expenses for earthmoving equipment, diesel/fuel usage, site mobilization, and hauling costs per project.
- Billing & Subcontractors: Process running account bills (RA bills), manage client progress billings, and reconcile vendor or equipment-rental ledgers. [1, 2, 3]
- Payroll & Labor: Oversee wage computation, site labor payments, and local tax deductions.
- Month-End Close: Handle general ledger maintenance, accruals, and P&L; statements specific to active excavation sites. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Compliance: Manage local tax filings, GST/VAT, TDS, and royalty or local transit permits required for earthwork operations. [1, 2]

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. [1, 2, 3]
- Experience: 4 to 7 years of overall accounting experience, with at least 2 years in construction, heavy equipment,



or civil contracting. [1, 2, 3]
- Software Skills: Robust proficiency in MS Excel and construction-suited accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or specialized job-costing tools). [1, 2, 3]
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with percentage-of-completion accounting, equipment depreciation, and field-ticket matching. [1, 2]
