We are looking for a responsible and qualified Pharmacist with at least 1 year of experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting. The candidate will be responsible for dispensing medicines, maintaining proper stock, supporting patients and healthcare professionals, and ensuring safe and accurate medication handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines as per valid prescriptions and hospital procedures.
- Check prescriptions carefully for correct medicine, dosage, and quantity.
- Explain dosage and usage instructions to patients when required.
- Maintain proper records of medicines issued and received.
- Monitor medicine stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Check expiry dates and maintain proper storage conditions.
- Handle controlled and high-alert medicines as per hospital guidelines.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, stores, and other departments when required.
- Ensure proper billing and documentation of medicines.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of the pharmacy.
- Follow hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and safety standards.
- Report stock shortages, damaged medicines, or discrepancies to the concerned authority.
- Support periodic stock verification and pharmacy audits.
Qualification
- D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid Pharmacy Council registration.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital pharmacy.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends/holidays when required.
