Role Summary

The Hostel Warden is responsible for the overall administration, discipline, welfare, and safety of students residing in the school hostel. The role includes day‑to‑day supervision of the hostel, ensuring a secure and caring environment, and coordinating closely with school leadership, house parents, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily hostel operations, including student movement, attendance, and room allocation.
- Ensure safety, discipline, and adherence to hostel rules and school policies.
- Maintain a positive, nurturing environment that supports students’ emotional and social well‑being.
- Coordinate with house parents/teachers on student behaviour, pastoral concerns, and academic support.
- Oversee cleanliness, housekeeping, maintenance issues, and dining arrangements in coordination with admin staff.
- Handle emergency situations and incidents in the hostel and report promptly to the Principal/Hostel In‑charge.
- Maintain hostel records: attendance, leave/outing registers, discipline records, and incident reports.
- Conduct regular rounds during study time, lights‑out,



and early mornings to ensure order and safety.
- Liaise with parents/guardians (as per school protocol) regarding student hostel matters.
- Support implementation of school policies related to child protection, safeguarding, health and safety.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience as Hostel Warden / Residential Staff / Boarding Supervisor in a school or college.
- Graduate in any discipline; additional qualifications in education, counselling, or hostel management preferred.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Good communication skills in English and local language (Kannada preferred).
- Ability to work in a residential / extended-hours environment, including evenings and weekends as required.
- High level of integrity, responsibility, and sensitivity when working with children and young adults.

Employment Type

- Full‑time, campus‑based role.
- Preference for candidates willing to reside on campus or be available for on‑call duties.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: From ₹45,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mysuru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
