Mechanical Design Engineer (1–2 Years Experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Product Development team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CAD modeling, sheet metal design, and prototype development. You will work closely with electronics, firmware, and software teams to develop cutting-edge healthcare kiosk products from concept to production.

Responsibilities

- Create 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Design sheet metal enclosures, brackets, mounts, and assemblies.
- Develop products from concept through prototype to production.
- Perform mechanical fitment, tolerance stack-up, and interference analysis.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing documentation.
- Support prototype assembly, testing, and design improvements.
- Work closely with electrical, embedded, and software teams for product integration.
- Resolve manufacturing and assembly issues through design modifications.
- Coordinate with vendors for fabrication, machining, sheet metal, and prototype development.

Required Skills

- 1–2 years of experience in mechanical product design.
- Proficiency in FreeCAD (Mandatory).




- Proficiency in SolidWorks (Preferred) or Autodesk Inventor/Fusion 360.
- Good knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of fasteners, bearings, hinges, and standard mechanical components.
- Ability to assemble, evaluate, and troubleshoot prototypes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with healthcare devices, kiosks, industrial equipment, or automation products.
- Basic understanding of vibration, structural strength, and enclosure design.
- Familiarity with 3D printing for rapid prototyping.
- Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).

Nice to Have

- - Exposure to ISO documentation and Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECO) processes.
