We are looking for an experienced CTP Operator / Pre-Press Graphic Designer to join our team on a full-time remote basis from India.

This is a hands-on pre-press role for someone who understands how artwork moves from a customer's PDF through pre-flight, artwork checking, imposition and ultimately CTP plate production.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing customer artwork and production files so they are fully ready for print.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Receiving and checking customer-supplied PDF artwork.
- Pre-flighting files and identifying potential print issues.
- Checking artwork for sizes, bleeds, crop marks, colours, fonts, images and other technical requirements.
- Making necessary artwork corrections where required.
- Preparing customer PDFs into print-ready production files.
- Creating accurate impositions for litho printing.
- Preparing standard impositions for:
- Leaflets
- Flyers
- Booklets
- Brochures
- Posters
- Business stationery and other commercial print
- Understanding page sequencing and folding requirements.
- Preparing files for CTP output.
- Producing CTP plates accurately and efficiently.
- Carrying out final pre-press checks before files go to production.
- Working closely with the UK-based production team to resolve artwork and technical queries.
- Ensuring files are produced correctly and to the required specification before going to press.

Essential Experience & Skills





We are looking for an experienced Pre-Press Operator, ideally someone who has previously worked within a lithographic printing company.

You must have:

- Strong knowledge and practical experience of CTP (Computer-to-Plate).
- Previous experience working in a litho printing environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of print production and pre-press.
- Positive knowledge of cutting tools and imposition.
- Experience creating standard impositions for leaflets, flyers, booklets, brochures and posters.
- Strong understanding of bleed, crop marks, trim sizes, page sizes, colour separation and print specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to identify problems with artwork before they reach production.
- Solid knowledge of Apple Mac.
- Good spoken and written English.

Remote Working Requirements

As this is a fully remote UK-based role, you must have a suitable home working environment and reliable equipment.

You will need:

- A high-specification Apple Mac capable of running Adobe Creative Cloud efficiently.
- Dual screens are highly preferable.
- Reliable, high-speed internet connection.
- A quiet and suitable environment for professional work.
- Reliable backup power / generator or UPS to ensure you can continue working during power interruptions.




- Ability to work remotely with UK-based systems and production staff.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position working UK hours.

You must be able to work consistently during UK business hours and be available to communicate with the UK production team throughout the working day.

Who We're Looking For

We're not looking for someone who simply knows how to use Adobe Creative Cloud.

We need someone who understands print.

You should be comfortable looking at a customer's PDF and immediately identifying whether it is suitable for production, what needs correcting, how it should be imposed and how it should ultimately be prepared for CTP.

Experience in a commercial litho printing environment is therefore essential.
