# Safety Engineer

## Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced **Safety Engineer** to manage safety and EHS activities for electrical infrastructure and power distribution projects in Haryana.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe execution of **11kV underground cable laying, HDD works, RMU and DTR installation, HT/LT electrical works, excavation, civil works and road-crossing activities**.

The ideal candidate should have strong field experience in electrical/EPC projects and be capable of independently managing safety at active project sites.

## Key Responsibilities

* Implement project safety policies, procedures and EHS requirements at site.

* Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.

* Prepare and implement **Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments and Method Statements**.

* Conduct daily **Toolbox Talks** and safety briefings for workers and contractors.

* Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.

* Monitor safety during **11kV cable laying, HDD, excavation, trenching, backfilling and road-crossing works**.

* Ensure safe working practices during **RMU, DTR, HT pole, ACB, earthing and cable termination activities**.

* Implement and monitor **Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)** and electrical safety procedures.

* Ensure proper barricading, signage and traffic management at work locations.

* Monitor excavation, lifting, working-at-height, machinery and material-handling activities.





* Ensure precautions are taken while working near existing underground utilities.

* Conduct safety induction and training for employees, workers and subcontractors.

* Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and prepare reports.

* Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records and statutory documentation.

* Monitor subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements.

* Ensure availability of first-aid facilities, fire extinguishers and emergency response arrangements.

* Immediately report responsible safety violations and take corrective action.

* Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors and contractors regarding safety issues.

## Requirements

* Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in **Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering** or a relevant discipline.

* **3–6 years of relevant experience** in construction, electrical EPC, power distribution or infrastructure projects.

* Experience in **electrical safety and construction site safety** is preferred.

* Knowledge of **11kV electrical works, underground cable laying, HDD, RMU/DTR installation and excavation safety** will be an advantage.

* Knowledge of **JSA, Risk Assessment, PTW, LOTO, PPE,



Toolbox Talks and Incident Investigation**.

* ADIS / Diploma in Industrial Safety will be preferred.

* NEBOSH / IOSH certification will be an advantage.

* Good communication and reporting skills.

* Good knowledge of MS Office.

* Ability to work independently at project sites.

* Willingness to travel between project locations in Haryana.

* **Valid driving licence and own two-wheeler** will be preferred.

## Work Location
