MUFG Global Service:
Established in 2020, MUFG Global Service is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MUFG Global Service India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. MUFG Global Service India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
About the Role:
Position: Senior Analyst Vendor Management Office (VMO) & Procurement Governance
Location: Bengaluru, India
Purpose of Role:
We are seeking a Senior Analyst to support Vendor Management Office (VMO), Procurement Governance, and Third-Party Risk Management activities at MFG Global Service.
The role will focus on ensuring third-party engagements are compliant, evidence-based, auditable, and aligned to MUFG Global Service Procurement Governance Framework, TPRM requirements, and internal policies. The individual will play a key role in vendor lifecycle governance, procurement review and challenge, governance reporting, contract administration support, onboarding coordination, audit readiness, and process improvement initiatives.
The role requires close collaboration with Business Units, Corporate Functions, ERM, Legal, Compliance, Information Security,
Finance, and TPRM stakeholders to ensure effective governance throughout the third-party lifecycle
Roles & Responsibilities:
Vendor Management & Third-Party Governance:
- Support end-to-end vendor governance activities including onboarding, transfers, renewals and offboarding.
- Coordinate vendor due diligence activities with Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Privacy, BCM and TPRM stakeholders.
- Track completion of onboarding requirements and ensure adherence to governance controls.
- Support management of critical and high-risk third-party engagements.
- Maintain vendor inventory, governance trackers and centralized repositories.
- Monitor vendor compliance obligations and escalation of outstanding actions.
Procurement Governance & Review:
- Review procurement submissions received from Business Units and Corporate Functions.
- Validate completeness of RFx documentation, vendor proposals, evaluation rationale and approval evidence.
- Challenge vendor selection recommendations where sufficient evidence, fairness or consistency is not demonstrated.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with Procurement Governance Framework requirements.
- Support endorsement and review processes prior to TPRM onboarding.
- Maintain evidence trails supporting procurement review decisions.
- Verify adherence to procurement approval thresholds, exception approvals, and supporting documentation requirements.
Contract & Documentation Governance:
- Coordinate contract lifecycle activities including contract reviews, renewals, amendments and terminations.
- Maintain contract repositories and support governance records.
- Ensure procurement and vendor governance documentation is complete and audit ready.
- Track contract and onboarding milestones.
- Support retention of procurement records in accordance with applicable records management requirements.
Process Review, Challenge & Controls:
- Review compliance with approval thresholds and governance requirements.
- Validate Single Source or Limited Source exception documentation and approvals.
- Support control testing, self-assessments and governance reviews.
- Escalate identified control gaps, policy deviations and non-compliance issues.
- Maintain audit trails supporting governance decisions and endorsements.
- Support internal audits, external audits, regulatory reviews, and management assurance activities related to vendor management and procurement governance.
Governance Reporting & MIS:
- Prepare Management Information (MI), dashboards and periodic governance reporting.
- Track procurement volumes, approval status, onboarding timelines and vendor risk metrics.
- Support governance committees, management reviews and audit reporting requirements.
- Produce insights supporting process efficiency and compliance monitoring.
- Monitor ageing of procurement reviews, due diligence activities, contract renewals, and onboarding requests.
Policy, SOP & Continuous Improvement:
- Support development and maintenance of Procurement Governance and VMO SOPs.
- Drive process standardization, automation opportunities and control enhancements.
- Maintain templates, checklists, governance artifacts and procedural documentation.
- Support implementation of governance tools, templates, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 36 years of experience in Vendor Management Office (VMO), Procurement Governance, Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), Vendor Risk Management, Contract Governance, Operational Risk, Compliance, or related governance functions.
- Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Global Capability Centres (GCC), Shared Services, Consulting, or Risk environments preferred.
- Experience working with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Information Security, TPRM, and Business stakeholders preferred.
Education:
- Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Law or related discipline.
