Executive / Senior Executive – Practice Transformation

Practice Transformation | AI, Legal Technology & Innovation

Function: Practice Transformation

Reports to: Head of Practice Transformation

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 0–5 years post-qualification

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Executive / Senior Executive – Practice Transformation is a lawyer within the Practice Transformation function, working at the intersection of legal practice, technology and innovation to help lawyers use AI and digital platforms more effectively in their day-to-day work.

The role combines hands-on adoption support with practice transformation and innovation. Depending on experience, the individual will work closely with practice teams on live matters, identify opportunities to improve legal workflows, support pilots of AI and technology solutions, and help translate successful use cases into repeatable approaches across the firm.

A significant part of the role involves understanding how lawyers actually work — identifying where technology can remove friction, improve efficiency or change an established workflow, while also recognizing where a tool or approach does not add sufficient value.

The role requires someone who is comfortable working closely with lawyers, learning new technology quickly, testing ideas in practice and forming an independent view on what works. The successful candidate will combine legal understanding with curiosity about technology, structured thinking, strong communication and a practical, support-oriented approach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AI & Technology Adoption

- Support lawyers and practice teams in the effective use of the firm's approved AI platforms and digital tools.
- Act as a point of contact for assigned practice groups on AI and technology-related queries and use cases.
- Provide hands-on support on live matters, helping lawyers apply technology to their own documents, workflows and processes.
- Identify opportunities where AI or digital tools can improve repetitive, document-heavy, diligence-heavy or time-sensitive legal work.
- Conduct short, practical enablement sessions, office hours, practice clinics and peer-learning sessions.
- Develop practice-specific prompt libraries, playbooks and guidance based on use cases tested on real matters.
- Build practical fluency in the firm's technology platforms, including their capabilities, limitations and appropriate use cases.
- Test new features and releases and assess whether they are suitable for wider adoption.

Practice Transformation & Workflow Improvement

- Work with practice teams to understand existing workflows, identify friction points and explore opportunities to improve how work is delivered.
- Challenge established processes where technology can enable a materially better way of working rather than simply accelerating an existing process.
- Identify workflows where AI could improve turnaround times, consistency, quality or the overall delivery of legal services.
- Develop practical approaches for embedding successful technology use cases into day-to-day legal work.
- Identify teams or individuals where adoption is lower than expected and understand the underlying reasons, including workflow mismatch,

user experience, scepticism, lack of awareness or product limitations.
- Identify successful use cases and "bright spots" within practices and help document and replicate them across teams.
- Support the development of new ideas for how AI and technology could enable the firm to deliver legal work differently.

Pilots & Innovation

- Support the identification and design of AI and legal technology pilots across practice groups.
- Help define the objective, scope, user cohort and success criteria for pilots before they begin.
- Coordinate pilots with lawyers, vendors and internal stakeholders and ensure structured feedback is captured.
- Test technology solutions against realistic legal workflows and matters.
- Evaluate pilot outcomes based on evidence, user experience and practical value rather than enthusiasm alone.
- Document findings and make clear recommendations on whether a solution or use case should be adopted, modified or discontinued.
- Support the Impact Lead / Head of Practice Transformation in developing the firm's broader AI adoption and innovation agenda.

Vendor & Product Management

- Work with customer success and account teams of approved AI and technology vendors on day-to-day product and user issues.
- Raise, track and follow through on support issues reported by lawyers.
- Reproduce and document technology issues clearly before escalation.
- Maintain records of recurring issues, product limitations and unresolved requests.
- Test vendor fixes and new product releases before wider communication to lawyers.
- Consolidate user feedback and identify recurring product or capability gaps.
- Support discussions with vendors on product improvements, training, enablement and new features.
- Track whether requested product improvements are implemented and communicate relevant updates to users.

Adoption, Feedback & Evidence

- Monitor adoption across assigned practices and identify areas requiring further intervention.
- Re-engage users whose adoption has reduced and understand the reasons behind the change.
- Capture practical evidence from live matters, including use cases, interventions, user feedback and reported time savings.
- Develop matter-level case studies and examples demonstrating how technology has improved legal work.
- Maintain documentation of successful use cases, workflows, prompts and practice-specific applications.
- Support reporting on adoption progress, key findings and recommendations for practice leadership.

AI Governance & Risk

- Reinforce the firm's AI governance requirements in interactions with lawyers and practice teams.
- Ensure lawyers understand which platforms and tools are approved for confidential and client information.
- Escalate concerns relating to confidentiality, data security,

accuracy or inappropriate reliance on AI-generated output.
- Ensure adoption initiatives remain aligned with the firm's standards for confidentiality, information security and quality.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential

- A qualified lawyer with 0–5 years of post-qualification experience. Candidates may come from transactional, corporate, capital markets, projects, disputes, diligence-heavy or other practice areas where understanding legal workflows is important.
- Strong interest in technology and AI, with the ability to learn new platforms quickly and understand their practical application to legal work.
- Curiosity and problem-solving ability, with an interest in understanding why a particular workflow works or does not work and how it could be improved.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with lawyers across levels of seniority.
- A practical and service-oriented approach, with a genuine interest in helping lawyers solve specific problems in their day-to-day work.
- Structured thinking and sound judgement, including the ability to assess whether a technology solution is genuinely useful rather than promoting it simply because it is current.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through, particularly when managing user issues, pilots, feedback and vendor interactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively across practice groups and internal teams.

Preferred

- Exposure to AI, legal technology, innovation, legal operations, knowledge management or technology-enabled workflow improvement.
- Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms, document management systems, contract technology or diligence tools.
- Experience using AI tools beyond basic or general-purpose applications.
- Experience conducting training, workshops, presentations or peer-learning sessions.
- Experience supporting a technology implementation, pilot or change initiative.
- Exposure to working with software vendors, customer success teams or external technology providers.
- Experience in a transactional, corporate, capital markets, projects or diligence-heavy practice.

This role suits someone who is interested not only in what technology can do, but in how lawyers actually work with it.

The successful candidate should be curious, practical and comfortable learning through experimentation. They should be willing to work alongside lawyers on specific problems, challenge established ways of working where appropriate and be honest when a technology solution does not deliver sufficient value.

The role requires someone who can balance enthusiasm for AI with appropriate scepticism — advocating for adoption while remaining focused on evidence, quality, confidentiality and practical outcomes.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity. We do not discriminate based on gender, race, age, sexual orientation, and religious identities or any other applicable characteristics protected by law. We seek individuals who uphold the highest standards of integrity, demonstrate professionalism in every interaction, treat others with respect, and consistently align personal ambition with the collective goals of the firm.
