We are looking for an experienced VDI Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops/Citrix DaaS, and Windows 365 (Cloud PC). The role involves delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing virtual desktop environments while ensuring excellent end-user experience and operational efficiency./

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and administer Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops/Citrix DaaS, and Windows 365 environments.
- Configure and manage host pools, workspaces, application groups, and session hosts.
- Design and support pooled and personal desktop deployments based on business requirements.
- Build, maintain, and optimize golden images using Azure Compute Gallery.
- Perform session host sizing, capacity planning, concurrency modeling, and performance tuning.
- Manage FSLogix profiles, Azure Files, and storage solutions for user profile management.
- Monitor VDI infrastructure using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement Azure best practices including Resource Groups, RBAC, Azure Policies, and VM management.
- Package, deploy, and troubleshoot applications for multi-session VDI environments.
- Support application compatibility testing across VDI and physical desktop environments.
- Deliver and support both RemoteApp and full desktop virtualization solutions.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security,



and application teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Troubleshoot complex VDI issues and perform root cause analysis to improve platform stability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture documents.

Required Skills

- Strong experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops / Citrix DaaS
- Experience with Windows 365 (Cloud PC)
- Expertise in RemoteApp and Full Desktop delivery models
- Strong understanding of Multi-session and Personal Desktop architectures
- Experience with Host Pool design and management
- Expertise in Azure Compute Gallery and Golden Image management
- Hands-on experience with FSLogix, Azure Files, and profile management
- Experience with Azure Virtual Machines, scaling, availability, and performance optimization
- Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Resource Groups, RBAC, and Azure Policies
- Experience with Intune application packaging and deployment
- Robust understanding of application packaging and compatibility testing in VDI environments
- Knowledge of capacity planning, performance tuning, and virtualization best practices

Preferred Skills

- Experience with PowerShell automation for VDI administration.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Management.
- Understanding of Azure networking, identity, and security services.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale VDI environments.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure and Citrix certifications are an added advantage.
