Job Description – MEP Engineer (Real Estate)

Job Summary

We are looking for a MEP Engineer – Mechanical to manage and coordinate MEP services at real estate construction sites. The candidate will be responsible for HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, site execution, contractor management, quality control, testing & commissioning, and coordination with civil, architectural, electrical, and other project teams.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. HVAC

- Supervise installation and execution of HVAC systems as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate installation of ducting, piping, AHU/FCU, ventilation, exhaust and related HVAC equipment.
- Check material quality, installation standards, levels, slopes and workmanship.
- Review HVAC shop drawings and resolve site-related technical issues.
- Monitor testing, balancing and commissioning of HVAC systems.

2. Fire Fighting





- Execute fire-fighting systems including sprinkler, hydrant, fire-pump room, fire piping and related installations.
- Ensure installation is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications and applicable codes.
- Coordinate with fire consultant, contractors and project teams.
- Supervise pressure testing, flushing and commissioning of fire-fighting systems.

3. Plumbing

- Supervise installation of domestic water supply, drainage, soil/waste, rainwater and related plumbing systems.
- Check pipe routing, slopes, sleeves, supports and pressure testing.
- Coordinate plumbing works with civil and architectural requirements.
- Ensure proper testing and commissioning before handover.

4. Site Execution

- Plan and monitor day-to-day MEP activities at the project site.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, project schedules and quality standards.
- Coordinate with MEP contractors and subcontractors for manpower, materials and work fronts.
- Monitor project progress and identify delays or site constraints.
- Inspect completed works and ensure timely rectification of defects.

5. MEP Coordination

- Coordinate HVAC, Fire Fighting and Plumbing services with Civil, Structural, Architectural and Electrical teams.
- Review coordinated/shop drawings and identify clashes before execution.
- Participate in coordination meetings and resolve technical/site issues.
- Ensure proper coordination of MEP services in shafts, ceilings, basements, plant rooms and service areas.
- Coordinate with consultants for approvals and technical clarifications.
