We are looking for an experienced Python/Azure Developer to support a cloud modernization project for an established client.
The role involves modernizing a legacy Windows VM-based automation platform that processes data from systems such as Salesforce and Zoom, moving the solution toward a cloud-native Azure Functions architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert approximately 20 existing R scripts to Python
- Analyze existing code, dependencies, and business logic
- Refactor legacy automation for Azure Functions
- Develop and maintain Python-based cloud applications
- Integrate with external platforms/APIs including Salesforce and Workday
- Update authentication and integration patterns
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation of migrated applications
- Ensure the modernized solution produces accurate and reliable results
Required Skills
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Strong hands-on Python development experience
- Hands-on experience with R and R-to-Python migration/conversion
- Experience developing applications using Azure Functions
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Experience working with Salesforce APIs/integrations
- Experience with authentication/API security patterns such as OAuth
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience modernizing or migrating legacy applications to cloud environments
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub and software development best practices
Nice to Have
- Experience with Workday integrations
- Azure cloud development experience
- Experience with serverless/cloud-native application architecture
- Experience with Application Insights, monitoring, or Azure deployment processes
