As Vice President - Data Scientist at Morgan Stanley, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence models to solve business problems using various Analytical and AI tools. You will work in the Technology division, where innovation drives the connections and capabilities of the firm, redefining markets and shaping the future of communities. Your role will involve developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs in areas such as Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, and more.**Role Overview:**- Communicate regularly with product leads to identify opportunities for improving existing and future technology solutions.- Work independently with Research business and vendors to analyze and define problem statements.- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement solutions and manage product delivery.- Provide technical leadership and vision for software development projects.- Define technical architecture and roadmap for large-scale, mission-critical systems.- Establish and communicate departmental goals aligned with business priorities.**Key Responsibilities:**- Manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives effectively.- Utilize advanced understanding of business line and discipline with knowledge of the competitive environment.- Design and implement AI/ML models in areas such as Supervised & Unsupervised Learning, Deep Learning (CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformers), Natural Language Processing, Entity identification/extraction, and knowledge discovery.- Expertise in Python, R, Spark, TensorFlow, Snowflake, Databricks, and other machine learning tools.- Familiarity with noSQL and vector databases,
