Job Summary:
We are looking for a Network Engineer – L1 to provide first-level network support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure. The candidate should have hands-on experience in routing and switching technologies and possess a strong understanding of network protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L1 support for enterprise network infrastructure.
- Monitor network devices, links, and connectivity using monitoring tools.
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity and performance issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Routers and Switches.
- Hands-on experience with Routing & Switching.
- Working knowledge of OSPF, BGP and VTP.
- Troubleshoot VLAN, trunking, STP, EtherChannel, and inter-VLAN routing issues.
- Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of IP addressing and subnetting.
- Handle incidents, service requests, and network-related tickets within defined SLAs.
- Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams when required.
- Maintain network documentation and troubleshooting records.
- Perform basic network device health checks and preventive monitoring.
Mandatory Skills:
- CCNA or CCNP certification – Mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in Routing & Switching.
- Practical experience with OSPF.
- Basic to working-level knowledge of BGP.
- Hands-on/working knowledge of VTP, VLAN, STP and Trunking.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with Cisco networking devices.
- Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with enterprise network environments.
- ITIL/ticketing tool exposure.
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools.
