Job Title: Senior Engineer - Purchase Location: Delhi

Reporting To: Department Manager / Board of Directors Job Purpose:
Responsible for sourcing, procurement, and inventory control of all mechanical and
consumable spares for the smooth operation and maintenance for grain-based distillery
plant, ensuring cost-effectiveness, timely availability, and quality compliance. Key Responsibilities: Identify, source, and procure all mechanical equipment, spares, and consumables
related to:
o Distillation, Fermentation, and Evaporation units
o Boiler and turbine systems
o Cooling towers, pumps, compressors, valves, gearboxes, bearings, seals,
gaskets, etc.
o Utility equipment – water treatment plant, air compressor, chillers, etc. Float inquiries, collect quotations, prepare comparison statements, and finalize
suppliers in coordination with management. Negotiate with vendors for best rates, quality, and delivery timelines. Source and procure mechanical, utility, and consumable spares for distillery units,
boilers, turbines, and utility sections. Maintain adequate stock levels of critical and quick-moving spares to prevent
downtime.



Coordinate with maintenance and project teams for technical specifications. Identify and develop reliable vendors for mechanical and fabricated items. Track purchase budgets, control costs, and prepare monthly purchase reports. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and maintain proper
documentation. Support quality checks and inspection of received materials. Knowledge of material dispatch and related documentations for international
locations. Should be ready to travel internationally Ensure adherence to internal control policies
and procedures. Coordinate with internal and external auditors for timely completion of audits. Assist in implementation of audit recommendations. Qualifications & Experience: Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or Diploma with relevant
experience). Experience: 5–8 years in mechanical procurement within distillery, brewery, sugar
industries. Knowledge of:
o Pumps, valves, gearboxes, bearings, seals, motors, and boiler/turbine spares.
o Vendor management and ERP-based procurement systems.
o Industrial purchase procedures and inventory control.
