As a Manager Procurement at Evonik India Pvt Ltd, your role involves overseeing the catalyst plant procurement of direct and indirect items while adhering to global Procurement policies and implementing the India procurement strategy. Your key responsibilities include:- Managing procurement at the Catalyst plant, including overseeing operational procurement colleagues for direct and indirect procurement.- Procuring and approving raw materials, packing materials, maintenance items, and materials for various departments as per requirements.- Handling all works/labor contracts, waste disposal, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.- Optimizing costs through negotiations, sourcing, and incentives while ensuring no stock-outs.- Managing the complete Vendor Management process, evaluating vendors, and supporting global business decisions.- Conducting onsite supplier audits and contributing to sustainability initiatives.Qualifications Required:- Minimum 5 years of experience in the chemical industry with an Engineering graduate degree (postgraduate degree is a plus).- Proficiency in SAP, exposure to direct and indirect procurement, technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, and experience in managing multiple stakeholders.- Robust communication skills, fluency in English, proficiency in MS Office, and people management experience.Additionally, it is beneficial if you have technical knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, experience with different types of contracts, knowledge of the chemical supplier market, experience in exports/imports of chemicals, and familiarity with chemical products/plants.
