As a Software Development Engineer at Medtronic, you will play a crucial role in developing software for new and existing medical device products. Your responsibilities will include:- Collaborating with global R&D; teams for software development, including creating Software Unit Test & Integration plans.- Designing and developing embedded real-time systems and creating/refining requirements, software designs, and test plans.- Participating in design reviews, code inspections, and other quality assurance functions required for FDA device approval.- Working effectively within geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams throughout the product development process.- Developing a test automation framework and test scripts.- Being responsive, flexible, proactive in communication, and comfortable with technical leadership in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.- Meeting key business KPI/project metrics.Qualifications required for this role:- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, or equivalent from a reputed institution.- 8 to 10 years of experience in Embedded Software development, with at least 2 years in the Medical device/Medical IT or highly regulated industry.- Extensive experience in embedded Software design and development using advanced C, strong knowledge of Object-Oriented concepts and Operating Systems internals.- Experience with low-level drivers, interrupt service routines, RTOS, multi-threading, IPC, GUI applications, and software automation test frameworks.- Proficiency in structured software development environments following Agile/Lean methodologies.- Experience with software and system risk analysis per ISO 14971.Nice to have qualifications:- Knowledge of Data Sciences/IoT, excellent coding and analytical skills,
