Role Overview:As a Buyer in the role of Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end contract lifecycle execution. This includes tasks such as pre-award management, post-award management, supplier relationship management, and ensuring compliance with policies, processes, and procedures. Your main objective will be to contribute to the procurement and contracting objectives and guidelines while maintaining high standards aligned with the companys requirements.Key Responsibilities:- Assist Category / Contract Manager in sourcing critical contracts by selecting and evaluating vendors, planning for assigned items, and preparing contracting plans- Support pre-qualification of vendors by specifying sourcing events and conducting technical validation- Develop internal cost estimates and float RFQ via digital RFX systems- Study offers from vendors, prepare comparative statements, and participate in commercial negotiation meetings- Focus on using technological tools like e-auction and reverse auction to improve efficiency and transparency- Ensure timely expedition for mobilization of resources post-award- Participate in vendor site visits to ensure compliance with contractual terms- Implement change management processes effectively and seek approval for variations- Engage with vendors regularly to share organizational requirements and gather feedback for continuous improvement- Support Contract Manager in creating the Procurement Strategy and executing overall contracts plan- Follow all relevant policies, processes, and procedures for consistent and controlled contract workQualifications Required:- Bachelors in Engineering or Technology- Masters in Business Administration (Desirable)- 4 to 6 years of experience in construction, operations, maintenance,
or similar field- Techno-commercial acumen, knowledge of cost estimation, market intelligence, and legal understanding of contractual terms- Familiarity with platforms like SAP or equivalentAdditional Company Details:The company operates within the Money, Materials & Compliance value stream and belongs to the Procurement & Contracts job family.
