Role Overview:As the Financial Regulatory Reporting Manager at Standard Chartered, your role involves ensuring alignment with country stakeholders on the development and execution of country-specific strategic goals regarding Country Financial Regulatory Reporting (FRR). You will be responsible for identifying and implementing best practices to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy. Understanding and articulating country-specific regulatory requirements, FRR metrics computation, methodologies, and regulatory parameters will be crucial. You will translate relevant local financial regulatory requirements into business and functional requirements and drive discussions with various stakeholders for ongoing compliance in local regulatory reporting. Effective communication with stakeholders to understand their requirements, queries, and providing necessary execution and consultation support will be essential. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of all required local regulatory returns, providing day-to-day delivery management to the team, and optimizing processes to enhance production efficiency and reduce errors.Key Responsibilities:- Ensure alignment with country stakeholders on strategic goals regarding Country Financial Regulatory Reporting (FRR)- Implement best practices to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy- Understand and articulate country-specific regulatory requirements, FRR metrics computation,
and methodologies- Translate local financial regulatory requirements into business and functional requirements- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and provide necessary support- Ensure accurate and timely submission of all required local regulatory returns- Manage day-to-day delivery to the team- Optimize processes for production efficiency and error reduction- Establish governance and controls for reporting processes- Drive discussions with various stakeholders for ongoing compliance in local regulatory reporting- Monitor operational efficiency, accuracy, and completeness of reports- Leverage technology and automation tools to streamline reporting processes- Support the transition of changes into BAU effectivelyQualifications Required:- Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CWA) or its equivalent, MBA (Finance), MBA (Banking), or any Finance equivalent from an institute of Repute- Minimum of 6 years preferably in Financial Regulatory Reporting, Financial Reporting (based on IFRS)- Strong knowledge of Financial Regulatory Reporting interpretation, IFRS regulations, Banking products & accounting- Proficient in analytics to drive deep understanding of Financial statements of Banks- Collaboration mindset; able to deliver solutions to improve BAUAbout Standard Chartered:Standard Chartered is an international bank that has been making a positive difference for over 170 years.
