As the Deputy Manager of Production within the Transmission division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the manufacturing processes of tractor transmissions. Your responsibilities will encompass managing day-to-day production activities, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Key deliverables include:
- Leading the production team to meet or exceed manufacturing targets while maintaining stringent quality controls.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to synchronize production schedules and resolve operational challenges.
- Implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing detailed reports on production performance, equipment utilisation, and process capabilities.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety,
and environmental regulations across the production floor.
- Driving innovation initiatives by fostering a culture of continuous learning and adapting best practices within the team.
- Managing resource allocation including manpower, machines, and materials effectively to optimise production output.
- Mentoring and developing team members to enhance their technical skills and leadership capabilities in alignment with Mahindra’s leadership competencies.
