The chance

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Engineer with 10 + years of hands-on experience in the transformer manufacturing industry. This role offers an opportunity to manage high-value procurement, and contribute directly to cost optimization, Inventory management and supply-chain excellence.

How you'll make an impact
- The ideal candidate will play a critical role in vendor management, need to work in P 2 P (procure to pay) concept, localization strategies, and timely procurement of critical materials and components required for power transformers.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for transformer raw materials and bought-out items (core steel, Insulation materials, fabrication components, copper items, Bought out items, etc.).




- Worked in SQDIC concept with more focus required in inventory management Manage import procurement, including customs duties, documentation, and Incoterms where applicable.
- Cross functional coordination: - Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Production, Project, and Logistics teams to ensure material availability as per production and project timelines. Monitor consumption trends and forecast material requirements.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives through value engineering, alternate materials, and cost out project.
- Compliance & documentations: - Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, and ethical procurement practices. Maintain accurate procurement documentation, records, and MIS reports. Support audits (internal, customer, and statutory) related to procurement activities.
