PPAP Coordinator
Job Description
Position Summary
The PPAP Coordinator manages the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for current and modified components to ensure compliance with JLG, Oshkosh, AIAG, and customer requirements. This role drives timely, accurate, and complete supplier submissions while coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to support successful product launches and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve supplier PPAP submissions for completeness and compliance with AIAG and customer requirements.
- Validate dimensional results, GD&T;, control plans, PFMEA, MSA, material certifications, and performance testing.
- Ensure alignment to design records, print notes, and critical characteristics.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve documentation gaps and drive corrective actions.
- Track PPAP status and escalate risks to support NPI, ECNs, and production readiness.
- Prepare and issue Part Submission Warrants (PSW) and approval documentation.
- Maintain accurate PPAP records and revision control.
- Support launch readiness, APQP activities, and design/process reviews.
- Review capability studies, Gage R&R;, and process validation documentation.
- Support interim approvals and manage supplier resubmissions.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to PPAP compliance.
- Drive improvement in PPAP first-pass yield and reduce submission errors.
