You will be part of Amgens Research and Development (RD) Business Operations organization, which tackles complex business challenges using exceptional people, tools, and processes. Your role as an associate in Transactional Finance will involve supporting end-to-end financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of supplier contracting processes within the Global Business Transactions Center (GBTC). Your responsibilities will include accounting for resources and expenses, data analysis to provide insights for decision-making, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations. You must have a basic understanding of Ariba and SAP software and their functionalities.**Key Responsibilities:**- Execute financial transactions such as purchase order processing, invoice verification, and payment processing using Anaplan, Ariba, or SAP software.- Utilize Ariba or SAP software to manage master data, vendor information, and other financial data.- Collect and analyze financial data using tools like Smartsheet, Tableau, Ariba, or SAP reports to prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports.- Collaborate with sourcing, accounts payable, and other teams to streamline financial processes and ensure compliance.- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations, participating in audits and compliance-related activities.**Qualifications Required:**- Bachelors degree OR Associate degree and 2 years of related experience OR 4 years of related experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of related experience.- Proficiency in MS Office and computer skills.- Good communication skills and attention to detail.- Basic understanding of purchasing, supply chain procedures, SOPs, healthcare regulations,



and standard contracting legal principles.As a creative problem solver with a proactive approach, your responsibilities will also include:- Handling financials for assigned expense collections and reporting.- Participating in resource and expense management initiatives.- Performing administrative tasks and data entry for business-related activities.- Providing support for financial systems and resolving issues to ensure compliance.- Generating Purchase Orders, resolving invoice issues, and assisting with urgent requests.- Attending meetings, supporting technical issues, and supplier onboarding.**Preferred Requirements:**- Familiarity with research and clinical development in the biopharmaceutical industry.- Experience in finance, resource, and budget management, including cost analysis.- Proficiency in analytics software, document management applications, and financial systems.- Intermediate Microsoft Office user and experience working with virtual teams.- Strong planning, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.- Ability to work effectively in a quick-paced, cross-matrixed environment.This role offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic workplace where you can contribute to key initiatives and support the smooth functioning of financial operations.
