As a Project Finance analyst, your role involves working with a team of onshore analysts to cover the project finance credit portfolio in their credit monitoring process. You will be responsible for preparing opinion-based credit reports and financial models based on fundamental analysis for a set of assigned credits/projects using client delivered formats.Key Responsibilities:- Undertaking research and analysis of a project through a thorough assessment of its credit strengths and weaknesses, and weighing its business and financial risk profile.- Identifying data gaps by ratifying project documents and communicating the same with the onshore analyst.- Understanding the potential for sponsor support or valid external support which would need to be factored into the credit assessments.- Preparing detailed credit assessment reports and discussing the factors that impact the rating of the project.- Creating and updating detailed financial models encompassing financial analysis, capital structure analysis, calculation of key credit quality determinants, and financial projections (up to 7 years).- Supporting teammates/client with any ad-hoc research requests including sector research.Qualifications Required:- Experience in deal financial modeling, surveillance, portfolio monitoring, and credit analysis.- Positive understanding of key credit metrics and capital ratios.Minimum & Preferred Education:- MBA, CA, or Masters degree preferred; CFA certification is a plus.Minimum & Preferred Experience/Skills:- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.- Diligence and hard work.- Organization skills and the ability to manage and prioritize workload.- Good understanding of MS Office products.Note: Immediate joiners and CFA candidates are preferred for this position.
