As a Senior Accountant at Mastercard in the AP region, your role will involve providing Controllership-related support for EDB cash grant claims. You will collaborate with the RHQ Controllership team on month-end closing, quarterly reporting, rebates, and incentives support, as well as compliance-related reporting activities. Your analytical and independent mindset will be crucial as you work with cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure accurate financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:- Provide support for EDB cash grant claims and collaborate with other Controllers and the RHQ Controllership team for month-end closing and reporting requirements.- Ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly indirect tax filings for MAPPL, coordinating with external service providers.- Assist the RHQ Controller with Rebates and Incentives support.- Participate in ad hoc projects requiring financial support.- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously with strong organizational skills.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent with at least 7 years of relevant work experience; CPA/CA preferred.- Strong knowledge of financial principles, US GAAP, and IFRS.- Proficiency in MS Excel, with preferred skills in MS Access, Oracle financial systems, ADI, and Hyperion.- Ability to work independently, follow up on time-sensitive issues, and communicate effectively across different geographies and cultures.- High accuracy in handling sensitive information, ability to work under pressure, and problem-solving skills.In addition to your role responsibilities, you will be expected to adhere to Mastercards security policies and practices, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of accessed information.
