As a Procurement Specialist at our clients company in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, IN, you will play a strategic and analytical role in managing the procurement of indirect materials and services to optimize spend, ensure supply chain resilience, and achieve cost savings across various non-production categories. Your strong negotiation skills, deep understanding of procurement best practices, and ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers will be crucial for success.**Key Responsibilities:**- Develop and execute procurement strategies for diverse indirect spend categories such as MRO, IT hardware/software, professional services, travel, facilities management, and marketing.- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify new suppliers and ensure competitive sourcing.- Lead tender processes, including RFQ/RFP development, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.- Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance, quality, and delivery meet company standards.- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements within indirect procurement.- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their needs and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.- Monitor contract compliance and manage supplier performance through regular reviews.- Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier databases.- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical standards.- Stay informed about market trends, new technologies, and best practices in indirect procurement.- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement systems and tools.- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, savings,
and supplier performance.**Qualifications:**- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect materials and services.- Proven track record of successful negotiation and contract management.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for managing complex spend data.- Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.- Understanding of global sourcing and supply chain principles.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.- Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are a plus.This position offers a competitive salary, benefits package, and the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the companys procurement strategy.
