Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SE II Developer with good experience in object-oriented programming and enterprise application development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bug fixing, enhancing existing systems, and developing new features while ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions. Experience with Progress OpenEdge ABL (OOABL) and exposure to QAD ERP systems will be a an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and bugs in a timely manner
- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Progress OOABL and Java
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, business analysts, and stakeholders




- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
- Support production systems and provide technical assistance when required
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes

Qualifications
- Experience 4- 8 years
- Solid experience in Progress OpenEdge ABL (OOABL)
- Experience with at least one additional object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, C++, C#, Python)
- Solid understanding of OOPS concepts and design principles
- Experience in bug fixing, debugging, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred / Good to Have:
- Experience or exposure to QAD ERP products
- Knowledge of enterprise application architecture
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
