The candidate should have a robust background in Data architecture, data modeling and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. The candidate should have essential hands-on experience with Advanced SQL and python. Proficiency in building Data Lake and pipelines using Azure/Fabric is highly desirable. Additionally, knowledge and experience in Quality domain is a plus.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and data integration requirements.
- Analyze source systems, business rules, and data dependencies to create clear functional and technical requirement documentation.
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines, data models, lakehouse/warehouse structures, and reporting-ready datasets using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
- Create and maintain source-to-target mappings, data flow diagrams, transformation logic, and technical design documents.
- Apply data modeling principles to support analytical, operational, and reporting use cases.
- Work with business users and QA teams to support data validation, testing, defect resolution, and sign-offs.
- Lead end-to-end delivery activities including design, development, testing, migration, production support, user training, and documentation.
- Optimize SQL queries, data pipelines, semantic models, and reports for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Define and promote best practices for data engineering, data modeling, documentation, code quality, deployment, and support processes.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical direction on Azure/Fabric data engineering solutions.
- Identify trends, patterns, and data quality issues in complex datasets and convert findings into actionable recommendations.
