We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and platform services, enabling our development teams to deploy and run applications efficiently and securely at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Platform Management
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
- Build and manage containerized application platforms using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- Manage service mesh implementations and microservices architecture
Automation & Tooling
- Develop automation tools and scripts to improve operational efficiency
- Create self-service platforms and tools for development teams
- Implement automated deployment,
scaling, and recovery mechanisms
- Build monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver)
Security & Compliance
- Implement security best practices across GCP infrastructure
- Manage IAM policies, service accounts, and access controls
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct security assessments and remediate vulnerabilities
- Implement network security policies and firewall rules
Performance & Cost Optimization
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs
- Implement resource tagging and cost allocation strategies
- Analyze and improve application and infrastructure performance
- Right-size compute resources and implement autoscaling policies
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with development teams to understand their platform needs
- Provide technical guidance and support for cloud-native ap
