Summary
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for leading complex engineering projects, supporting product design enhancements, resolving technical issues, and ensuring on‑time delivery of customer documentation. This role involves close collaboration with global engineering teams, product specialists, supply chain, and project teams to enhance customer satisfaction. The engineer will drive best engineering practices, ensure compliance with Flowserve standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of products and processes. The position includes responsibilities across design, analysis, documentation, production support, and customer interface.

Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects involving complex designs, ensuring proper resource allocation and resolution of technical challenges.
- Collaborate with Business Units (BU) and GTEC Engineers to enhance customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
- Maintain robust coordination with project teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Develop, review,



and implement engineering best practices and Flowserve standards; identify gaps in existing standards.
- Direct modifications to programs, methods, and designs to resolve technical issues and meet customer requirements.
- Work closely with Product & Engineering Specialists, Product Management, and Corporate Technology to provide solutions for complex pump-related problems.
- Coordinate with Design Engineers to investigate and resolve shop floor issues related to design or quality; document findings, recommend corrective actions, and support implementation of cost‑effective solutions.
- Produce engineering designs, drawings, and documentation using CAD tools.
- Identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
- Provide technical support to both internal stakeholders and external customers.
