You have the opportunity to join a dynamic team as an Energy Engineer at CDM Smith. Your role will involve utilizing your expertise in HVAC systems and facility energy utilities to contribute to energy audits, feasibility studies, and retrofit assessments. You will need to showcase your proficiency in energy modeling software and demonstrate a deep understanding of energy-efficient technologies and sustainable design principles. Your responsibilities will include implementing various Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) to enhance energy savings in existing buildings, as well as working on retrofits and upgrades focusing on electrification and heat pump technologies. Additionally, you will be expected to provide cutting-edge solutions to technical challenges, prepare technical reports, and analyze data effectively. Moreover, you will play a crucial role in training and supporting entry-level and mid-level energy engineers. Your strong communication skills, both verbal and written, will be essential in this role.Qualifications:- Masters or Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines- 8 years of related experience- Energy-related credentials such as CEA or CEM would be an added advantage- Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency in other MS Office ProgramsPlease note that there is no travel required for this position. CDM Smith may conduct background checks, including criminal, employment, education, licensure, as well as drug testing for designated positions. Successful completion of these checks will be required for employment.
