About This Role

We are looking for a proactive and independent Mid-Level Software Engineer with strong backend engineering skills in Java to join our engineering team. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of features across our Java-based microservices platform, contribute to the full product lifecycle, and be an active AI power user — leveraging up-to-date AI coding agents to deliver high-quality software at velocity. You will work with a collaborative, globally distributed team of engineers passionate about building scalable commerce solutions.

What You’ll Do

Feature Ownership: Independently design and implement scalable, resilient microservices using Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem, following established architectural goals and product objectives.

AI Coding Assistants: Systematically use AI coding agents (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to optimize development velocity, automate testing, and assist in complex refactoring. You are expected to stay current on emerging AI methodologies and tools, and to demonstrate how AI meaningfully increases your output and code quality.
