As a Project Controls Specialist at the company, your role will involve the following responsibilities:- Interactive planning session(s) with the area / team leads to establish a Performance Measurement Baseline- Monitoring project risks, issues, resources and CPM and providing solutions to the Project Controls Manager, complying with WSP and the Clients standards and codes- Performing critical path analysis to determine which deliverables have float and which cannot slip schedule- Maintaining the master schedule baseline for engineering, procurement, and construction activities- Developing and implementing comprehensive cost planning strategies for EPC(M) projects, including detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts- Ensuring alignment of cost plans with project objectives, timelines, and deliverables- Preparing, analyzing, and presenting cost reports at various project phases and stage gates using relevant software tools- Tracking actual expenditures against the budget regularly and forecasting future costs, identifying variances and trends- Providing detailed cost analysis and financial summaries for project managers and senior management- Reporting and graphing updates of actual man-hours and costs invoiced, incurred, physical progress, forecast to complete, key and / or critical issues, and scheduled achievements relative to the projects status- Conducting variance analysis to compare actual costs with budgeted amounts, explaining discrepancies and recommending corrective actions- Assessing financial risks associated with project changes, delays, or cost overruns, and developing risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with project teams- Performing in-depth financial analyses to assess project performance, cost trends,



and potential risks- Preparing accurate and timely financial forecasts, factoring in project milestones, deliverables, and potential scope changes- Ensuring thorough regular periodic reassessment of project scope, cost, and schedule for completeness, reflecting the best judgment of the project team and management- Evaluating the financial impact of changes in project scope or requirements- Collaborating with project managers to review and approve change orders, ensuring alignment with cost and budgetary goals- Identifying potential cost-related risks, such as overruns or delays, and developing proactive strategies to address them- Working closely with project management, procurement, and other cross-functional teams to gather cost-related information- Ensuring cost control measures align with overall project objectives and contractual requirements- Taking on additional responsibilities as directed by managementKey Competencies/Skills:- Able to communicate, understand, express, and apply basic technical, business, or administrative concepts- Superior organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines- Decision-making and problem-solving ability- Proven ability to multi-task and efficiently respond to changing priorities- Accepting coaching, knowledge,



and support from more experienced staff- Meeting targets and deadlines- Assisting in defining and ensuring adherence to the defined corporate objectives- Building and maintaining WSPs brand/reputation both internally and externallyMandatory Skills:- 3 - 5 years experience in Planning & cost controlling with O & G, Power plant, Chemical processing, Mining Processing industry experience- Demonstrable capability in Project Controls and proven skills in the use of Cost Management software, Microsoft Excel, Power-Bi, and other cost management database products- The use and understanding of Primavera P6 Software- Understanding the Project Controls function to align with- Schedule Management- Cost Management- Change Management- Risk and Chance ManagementDesired Skills:- 3 - 5 years Valuable experience in Project control is considered an asset- Understanding management of changes implications- Understanding Earned Value Management guiding principles considered a plus- Ability to analyze the effect of schedule performance on project completion- Time flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously- Attention to detail is critical- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills- Familiarity with other analytics tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, and equivalent dashboards- Previous experience in an EPCM environment in the O & G, Power, Mining processing industry is an assetQualifications:- Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience post-graduation, preferably relating to a large-scale professional services work environment- Degree holder with Engineering &/or certificate in Project Management, Cost Management, Contract Management, or other applicable area would be an asset- PMP certification would be advantageousPlease note that Employment with WSP India is subject to
